Women Empowerment – Strength at the Grassroots
When a woman rises, her entire village rises with her.
In rural India, women are the silent strength of every household. They walk miles for water, raise children, work in fields — yet remain unheard, unpaid, and unseen. But when they are given tools, skills, and confidence — they don’t just survive, they lead. At PMMS, Bhandara, women’s empowerment isn’t a project — it’s the core of our mission. We believe in creating spaces where women discover their own voice, claim their right to livelihood, and step into leadership — in their homes, communities, and the economy.
What We Do:
- Form and strengthen Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- Provide skill development and vocational training for rural women.
- Enable micro-enterprises, local market linkages, and income generation.
- Offer financial literacy, digital tools and bank linkages.
- Conduct leadership training, health awareness and legal literacy workshops.
- Promote traditional crafts, food processing, stitching, and eco-friendly products.
We walk with women — from first-time learners to confident earners.
From voiceless to decision-makers :
“Before PMMS, I didn’t even know how to speak in a group. Today, I run a small business, attend panchayat meetings, and support my daughter’s college fees.”
— SHG Member, Bhandara block
